Where is the crying

"Where is the crying" is a project about universal emotional experiences inspired by my work as a psychologist. The handkerchief in the therapy room is an interior detail with symbolic meaning for what will take place there. I work performatively for each image, letting my hands mould the handkerchief while imagining a fictional person's emotions such as pain or happiness, the person has a dilemma, and tears being wiped from their face. Later in the process, I looked up research on crying, and more ideas for the work emerged.
